The fierce alien warrior needs a human bride.

On war-torn Earth, former interstellar translator Aubrey struggles to raise her late sister's three young boys. It's not easy when resources are scarce, her hometown is embroiled in civil unrest, and her ex-fiancé keeps causing trouble. But she's determined to make a happy life for her nephews. Whatever it takes, she'll keep them safe and fed and ensure they feel loved. She also hopes to make the upcoming holiday season as magical as possible.

Vaxxlian warrior Claus is on a mission to find a human wife. He signs up for Vaxxlian Alien Mail Order Brides and travels to Earth, only to learn his assigned mate has tragically passed away. The petite female who delivers this news is the sister of his intended mate, and Claus is quick to propose a marriage of convenience between Aubrey and himself. He promises to always take care of her and the children. Unfortunately, the stubborn human woman is suspicious of his motives. She's also reluctant to leave Earth.

Aubrey is shocked by the arrival of the musclebound alien warrior, and she doesn't know what to think of his persistence. No matter how many times she sends him away, he keeps coming back. He also seems to have won over her nephews. To further complicate matters, she cannot deny her growing attraction to the handsome alien, especially after he chases her ex-fiancé away. And when he dresses up like Santa and hands out presents to her nephews on Christmas Eve? Be still her heart.

But can a marriage of convenience between total strangers really work?

Sue Mercury

Sue Mercury has a knack for turning distant galaxies into intimate love stories. Writing under this pen name since 2015, she has carved out her own corner of science fiction romance, creating tender yet adventurous tales where alien worlds collide with very human emotions. Her books, spanning series like Vaxxlian Alien Mail Order Brides, Reestrian Mates, Savage Martians, and Cascade Beasts, are filled with fierce alien warriors, resilient human heroines, and romances that explore connection beyond the limits of species and planets.

Based in Maryland with her husband, children, and a lively household of pets, Sue first began writing as an outlet for her fascination with the unknown. What started as playful what-ifs about interstellar love evolved into a catalog of more than fifty novels and novellas, each balancing lighthearted humor with emotional depth and plenty of off-world adventure.

While she also writes steamy romances as Sue Lyndon, her work as Sue Mercury leans into sweet, spicy storytelling, building relationships that feel both cosmic and deeply personal. Themes of belonging, trust, and transformation run through her series, giving readers more than just escapism, they find characters wrestling with vulnerability and discovering love in the most unexpected places.

Sue may not dominate the mainstream spotlight, but among fans of alien and paranormal romance, her name has become a trusted one. With every new release, she continues to expand her imaginative universes, inviting readers to explore strange worlds where even the most unlikely partnerships can lead to happily ever afters.

She also writes romance of the much kinkier variety under the name Sue Lyndon.

Vaxxlian Alien Mail Order Brides

Each novel unfolds against the richly detailed backdrop of Vaxxlian society, a civilization as complex and untamed as the hearts of its inhabitants. The series explores the delicate dance between tradition and desire, showing how trust is built slowly amid cultural divides and cosmic challenges. Characters evolve with every page, their bonds deepening through shared vulnerability, unexpected humor, and fierce loyalty.

Far from a simple alien romance, these stories delve into themes of belonging, identity, and the transformative power of love across species. The blend of sizzling chemistry with emotional authenticity creates a reading experience that resonates beyond genre conventions. Fans appreciate the seamless mix of sci-fi adventure and heartfelt relationships, where no two romances feel the same, yet all pulse with raw energy and hope.

This series stands out for its imaginative worldbuilding, well-drawn characters, and an atmosphere that balances lighthearted moments with intense passion. It’s a journey across galaxies that feels intimate and personal, where the quest for connection is as thrilling as the exotic settings themselves.

Whether you crave interstellar escapades, strong, relatable heroines, or alien heroes who reveal their tender sides beneath armor and bravado, these stories offer a fresh take on mail order brides, one that embraces the unknown with warmth and daring.

I was so excited to see that there was a new book being added to the Vaxxlian Alien Mail Order Brides Series and this book did not disappoint. This was a really enjoyable story and the Christmas elements were a fun touch. I liked all the characters and how Claus tried so hard to win over Aubrey's nephews Marcus, Wyatt, & Finn and the interactions between them all were amusing at times. I look forward to reading and rereading many books about Vaxxlian Warriors and the humans they fall for in the future.

I received a free advanced reader copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
