Burning Embers

In the Mated by Fire series, Katie May invites readers into a world where passion and danger are bound by a fiery, unbreakable connection. Izzy, a girl whose past has shaped her into someone cautious and self-reliant, finds herself thrown into a world far beyond the ordinary when she moves into a new foster home. The moment she steps foot into her new life, the boundaries between normal and supernatural begin to blur.

Her new schoolmates—Ashton, Reid, Emery, and Ethan—aren’t just the typical high school crowd. They’re enigmatic, magnetic, and bound to Izzy in ways she doesn't yet understand. Their intense protectiveness and unexplained attraction to her unravel mysteries that stretch back to her own origins, forcing Izzy to confront her own hidden powers. Each new discovery brings her closer to the truth—but also deeper into the heart of a world that could both save and destroy her.

As Izzy navigates complicated relationships and the tension between the supernatural and her own humanity, she learns that the flames of passion aren’t always easy to control. In a world where loyalty and love come with dangerous consequences, she must decide who she can trust and who may betray her. With every step, the stakes rise, and the mysteries deepen, leading to a love that might be more destructive than anything she's ever faced.

Mated by Fire combines intense romance, thrilling suspense, and a supernatural twist, creating an irresistible series that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. Through Izzy's journey, May explores themes of identity, power, trust, and the battle between the heart and the world around it.
