Guardian's Heart

She is fated to be mine, and I’ll risk everything to claim her

Nova:

I don’t trust Zaarek, no matter how devastatingly handsome the alien is. He says he’s rescuing us, but I’ve learned the hard way that trusting anyone can get you killed. Growing up in the Louisiana swamps taught me how to survive, and this alien forest? Piece of cake. Or so I thought. After days on the run, I catch him—literally—but what I didn’t expect was for strange tattoos to form on our bodies... or the confusing pull I feel toward him. Now I have to decide: trust Zaarek, or keep running.

Zaarek:
I’ve followed orders my whole life, no questions asked. My mission is simple—rescue as many humans as possible, including nine slaves I bought at an alien auction. One of them, Nova, is different—fiery, stubborn, and impossible to control. When she escapes, I’m forced to chase her through an alien forest, but finding her isn’t the victory I expected. Now, strange marks appear on my skin, and for the first time, I question everything I know—about myself, my past, and my masters.
