Tooth fairy elder Rorain is ecstatic for the numerous One pairings that have sprouted over the past year. But she continues to long for her mate, her One. Until then she's vowed to focus on the needs of the community. With so many fairy residents leaving to live with their true matches, things have started to quickly fall behind.

Hired as a handyman, the human Dan is new to the fairy village of Arydis. He and Rorain work together on a daily basis, planning and discussing the tasks needed to ensure Arydis doesn't fall apart. But Dan remembers her from decades ago, back when they were both just teenagers.

Will Rorain see Dan for who he is? Or are they both destined to be alone forever?

This is a 10k word paranormal romance short story between a later in life couple. There are open door scenes and some adult language. It's recommended to read the Faeries of Arydis series in order.
