Strength can win any fight, but some wars can't be fought with strength alone.

The world ended, and I never wanted to be emperor of the ruins. But power doesn't ask for permission. If I don't step up and put things right, someone worse will.

Since the integration, I've forged Crownhill from a shelter of desperate survivors into the heart of a budding empire. Now we can protect not just ourselves, but bring others under our banner for shelter and strength.

With our success have come schemers, parasites, and social climbers of all sorts. I can no longer afford to remain in my mountaintop castle, looking down at the world below. To keep what I've built safe, I'll have to get my hands dirty and accept the throne I never wanted.

Some of Crownhill's newer citizens have ambitious plans, and they'll use my people as tools for personal gain if I let them.

Sakura's father is out there, and we finally have a lead. I promised Sakura we'd find him, and I intend to make good on that promise.

My body still bears the lingering effects of draconification. If I want to avoid involuntarily transforming again, I'll need to make careful preparations for A-Grade.

Most of all, though, Bridget is pregnant. The title of Emperor is scary enough. The title of father is even more terrifying.
