Halloween, 1938
A radio broadcast has Ruth on edge. Even with the announcer stating it was only a "holiday offering" it seemed real. Too real. And now her dog won't stop barking into the pitch black night that surrounds the farm.
Zessur is wandering the galaxy with no real destination in sight when his ship's repairs can no longer be delayed. Landing on the nearest inhabitable planet is his best option. While preparing to disembark and get the repairs started a tight feeling invades his chest as an enticing scent tickles his senses.
He knows what they mean, but what will the inhabitant of this planet Earth think of being his mate?
