A Quest for Power

There are many paths to power.

As the third-born princess of the island nation of Kolynch, Dia knows that she has almost no chance of ever sitting on her father's throne. As such, if she is ever to be the queen she knows she's destined to be, her only choice is to marry the king of another country. Something easier said than done when her father refuses to deal with other nations.

When a ship arrives, carrying a charming foreign prince on a quest to retrieve her country's famed golden fleece, Dia defies her father steal it for him. Her condition? He takes her back to his country. He is a rightful king, after all.

But Prince Ayson proves less than pervious to her schemes of romance, and she finds herself increasingly distracted by the ship's handsome young captain, Caden. Will Dia cling to her quest for power, even as it slips through her fingers, or will she give it up for something more?

“A Quest for Power,” a retelling of The Golden Fleece, is a standalone no-spice novella, complete with tropes like forbidden love, scheming heroine, and nautical quest. It is the fifth in the “Lives of Legend” series, a collection of eight retellings of Greek myths where the tragedies become happily ever afters. Each book is written by a different author so it can be enjoyed in any order. The proceeds from this series are donated to the Human Coalition to provide for mothers facing crisis pregnancies.
