Halloween With the Klagan

After a devastating explosion rocks Klaga, human botanist Casey Ward embarks on a charity mission. She’s looking for seeds to restock the food supply, but she finds Sevvax instead - guarded, disabled, and more home in the wild mountain than the city.

Sevvax knows he looks like a monster, so he resolves to watch over Casey’s mission from a distance. But the weather forces him to intervene, he can only hope she doesn’t run screaming back into the storm. He could teach her how to survive up here, even if she doesn’t want to stay.

Casey’s choice could define her future: Return to civilization or learn to see past Sevvax’s abrasive, thorny exterior. She wants to help her adopted planet, but can she truly let go of the one who has become her protector, her ally, and soulmate?
