Dragon Wagon Refuge
~ FROM WILD SEAS TO TREASURED BONDS ~
A stand-alone, quick-read cozy fantasy short novel
Discover the world of Larune where slice-of-life tales and furry (or scaly) companions offer friendship and comfort to the weary soul. For those who enjoy self-discovery, reflective moments, and low-stakes adventure in a charming, rustic setting.
Cliona is caught between two worlds: the freedom of the sea and the rigid traditions of her dwarven clan. After a tense family gathering forces her to speak her truth, she decides to leave it all behind and start anew on a kelp farm. But her quiet life is knocked off course when she learns her clan is tracking a rare golden dragon that stole their prized gem.
Driven by her love of animals, she ends up rescuing the dragon’s egg and fleeing with a crew of good-hearted smugglers. Despite a lifetime of training sea serpents, Cliona is clueless about raising a baby dragon. What will she do if it hatches before she can find the orphan a new home?
Between pleasant pirates and a reclusive elven ranger, Cliona’s journey will bring her delightful discoveries about dragons, family, and where she truly belongs.
