As Elise chases answers, it slowly becomes clear that Malvada’s book may hold more than clues to the lost history of magic. It might be the spark of a revolution.

If Elise can unite all the chapters, she may have the power to bargain for her father’s life. But she’ll have to outwit not just the government, but also a magical terrorist group. Who can she trust? And how many betrayals lie between her and the truth of Malvada’s story?
