I've done everything I can think of to get the big gray guy to open up. Nothing seems to work. Then I decide to 'borrow' him for the veterans' Thanksgiving, maybe he'll start talking to the guys and I can eavesdrop. But they've come armed with internet gossip and it has B'Han so hyped he confesses those feelings he's been hiding. I'm still clueless about how his kind reproduce but I'm not letting him go regardless. We'll just have to find his missing crew together or figure something else out.

I was banished to Earth to get me out of the way when my Battalion went missing while I was out on patrol. In six months they'll be declared dead and I'll be stripped of any rights to citizenship in the Empire. A unit must fight and die together.

So I've no business asking Sandy to join my clan, but I can't help dreaming of a day when I can speak those words, claim her for all to see. That day will likely never come, I'll be banished to live the life of a station pirate but I'll never regret our brief time together.
