The Schmidt family has been involved in the annual Shady Lake Harvest Pageant for decades, but this year is different. The pageant will be televised statewide and the people of Shady Lake need to be on their best behavior.

The supposed theater ghost strikes just as pageant plans fall into place. At first, they’re harmless pranks, but they soon escalate to murder.
