Before she throws in the towel, Misty is going to get back to basics. She plans to start with scones. Basic skills. Not overly complex. Somehow, she still ends up with scorched ceilings and an out-of-control flame. To make matters worse—both of her fire extinguishers are inoperable, the overhead sprinklers don’t activate, and the kitchen is quickly filling with smoke.

As she desperately tries to save her bakery, four large figures burst into the kitchen. Her vision is blurry. Her head hurts. She's totally confused. Her saviors can’t really be walking, talking water, right?

Thirty minutes later, the four alien firemen are re-solidifying in front of an Omega human that smells smoky, yet fracking divine. This is exactly why it’s against protocol to mix with the locals. Human scents can weaken the strongest off-worlder...
