The Bastard in the Dark
Six months on and Robin is alone again. Unless you count the assassins. Someone wants him punished for killing the High Lord of the Dark Court. Malevolent forces are crawling out of the shadows, to fill the power vacuum Robin created. Keir may be the new incumbent but he’s troubled by assassins too. There are a lot of them about.
Humanity isn’t any better. Despite the dismantling of the portals, the fae threat hasn’t gone away. It’s time to take the fight to the fairies.
Politics is an ugly game, this one is played out over two realms. Like chess, the powerful sacrifice the pawns to advance their ambitions. Robin doesn’t know it yet, but he’s one of those pawns. The darkest character now on the board, is his nemesis, the man who created Puck. He has plans to use Robin’s psychotic alter-ego one last time.
Phil Parker
Phil hasn’t stopped writing since his parents bought him a typewriter as a teenager. That is a long time ago, (think fossils). He's written books for Drama teachers (he used to be one) and journalistic articles on education.
Now he's an #indieauthor who writes fantasy novels where British folklore, inter-dimensional portals and broken characters in search of redemption play a big part. His other passion is pizza - it's why he wants to be reborn as an Italian.
