Mated to the gargoyle

I never claimed to be an angel. So when I saw something evil… I ran.

Not to do the right thing. To save myself.

Now I'm on the run with nowhere left to hide, praying I can outrun the men hunting me.

Then the storm hits.

I take shelter in an abandoned mansion… and realize too late I'm not alone.

He looks like a demon. Or maybe the devil himself.

And he makes me a deal.

Be my mate… and I'll keep you safe.

It's a bargain with a monster. One I should refuse.

But the longer I stay, the more the darkness starts to feel like home.
The shadows welcome me and the monster who should terrify me makes me feel like I was always meant to be here.

The men hunting me are still out there.

But I'm not sure I want to be saved anymore.
