Hyder Ali, a journalist at the Daily Times, is under pressure when a legendary investigative reporter arrives in town, determined to make a name for himself. But Hyder's problems are only just beginning when a killer starts beheading their victims and hiding their heads for the police to find.
Detective Tom Nolan is called in to investigate the brutal murders, and he quickly realizes that this case will test him like no other. To make matters worse, he is partnered with his nemesis, Detective Angelo Pascale, and the stress starts to take a toll on him as he contemplates returning to his old ways and hitting the bottle again.
As more bodies pile up, Hyder begins to question his decision to be a journalist. When someone close to him becomes the next target, he knows that he must do whatever it takes to protect those he loves and bring the killer to justice.
