About the Book
Trapped in the Venezuelan jungle, John Beckett faces his deadliest mission yet.
Ex-Secret Service operative turned world traveler, Beckett planned to marvel at Venezuela’s majestic’s Angel Falls. Instead, he’s thrust into a nightmare when rebel guerrillas capture his tour group.
In a jungle prison camp rife with danger, Beckett allies with Vanessa Adler, a CIA officer with her own secret motives, to orchestrate a daring escape.
As rebel tensions explode and a monstrous enforcer takes control, Beckett must navigate a deadly web of bloodshed, betrayal, and survival. But with his identity a closely guarded secret, even from those hunting him, every decision risks exposure and disaster.
Can Beckett free the hostages and evade his pursuers, or will the unforgiving jungle claim them all?
A World of Sun and Violence is a heart-pounding standalone thriller in Matthew Hattersley’s John Beckett series.
