After spending a thrilling month in the alternate world of Nevmarq, Hailey has returned back to Earth. Even though she’s now safe from the grasp of the tyrannical King Erasmus, she’s left with a massive hole in her heart, which is healed the moment she receives an unexpected visitor.

Cullen barely managed to escape from King Erasmus’ soldiers with his brother, Leeam, but their family was not so lucky. Imprisoned merely by association, they await captivity and torture at the king’s hands. Desperate, Cullen turns to the one person who can help him free his family: Hailey.

Reunited at last, Hailey and Cullen work together to try and rescue his family. Although they and their allies are vastly outnumbered, they remain determined to achieve their goals. However, Hailey discovers that many of King Erasmus’ subjects may not be as compliant as they seem. She learns that her accidental arrival had spurred certain events and players into motion, which could eventually lead to an all-out rebellion.
