Fire Arrow
Called home to her nursemaid's bed, archer Breo-Saight finds more than just grief. With the nurse's final words, Brie is pointed toward he birthright, a beautiful golden arrow. And then Brie discovers the old nurse has been poisoned - perhaps by the very same men who murdered Brie's father two years before.
Brie sets off after the killers, drawn by a vow of revenge and also by the arrow, which seems to have a magic purpose of its own. The arrow finds its targeta with a blast of eldritch flame, and each time Brie uses it, she and the arrow grow more alike: single-minded, driven, deadly.
The arrow leads Brie to a strange country, where she finds the family and the happiness that she's always longed for. But Brie also finds evil at work in the sinister doings of a one-eyed sorcerer who was involved in the death of her father - and whose only fear is the young archer and her fire arrow.
