Erin Hunter

Erin Hunter is a collective pseudonym used by the several authors like Victoria Holmes, Kate Cary, Cherith Baldry, Inbali Iserles, Tui T. Sutherland, Kasey Widhalm and Rosie Best, in the writing of several juvenile fantasy novel series, which focus on animals and their adventures.

The name "Erin Hunter" was chosen for several reasons. First, if the authors used all of their own names, the books would be placed in different places in a library, making them hard to find. Second, they were trying to pick a surname that would place the books very close to the Redwall series by Brian Jacques, which was, at the time, the book series with the closest plot to Warriors.

"Erin Hunter is inspired by a love of cats and a fascination with the ferocity of the natural world. As well as having a great respect for nature in all its forms, Erin enjoys creating rich mythical explanations for animal behavior, shaped by her interest in astrology and standing stones."

Warriors Graphic Novel: The Prophecies Begin

Beneath the forest canopy, where pawprints trace ancient paths and every whisper in the underbrush could be a warning—or a destiny—an untamed world pulses with tension, loyalty, and war. The Prophecies Begin, reimagined as a graphic novel series, plunges readers into the wild heart of the Warriors universe with a vivid immediacy that only ink and illustration can deliver.

This isn’t a tale of tame house cats. At the center is Rusty, a curious kittypet drawn beyond his garden fence by a pull he can’t explain—toward ThunderClan, and a life forged in the shadow of prophecy. What follows is a transformation, not just of a young cat stepping into the name Firepaw, but of an entire forest teetering on the edge of chaos. Through clan rivalries, ancient codes, and the weight of omens whispered by StarClan, the series explores power, trust, and what it truly means to lead.

The graphic format adds a new pulse to the storytelling—silent glances between warriors, the ripple of fur mid-battle, the eerie glow of moonlit prophecies—all captured in bold lines and shadowed color. It's a sensory dive into a complex world where the stakes are primal and the bonds are as fierce as the claws drawn in defense of them.

For longtime fans and newcomers alike, these adaptations breathe new life into a saga that has captivated millions. The tension is real. The choices are brutal. And beneath it all is a question every reader will carry with them: can destiny be outrun—or is it already written in the stars?
