September, 1666. In the house of a sleeping baker, a spark leaps from the oven – and ignites a blaze that will burn London to the ground.

For twenty years, internal strife has torn England apart. The King and Parliament have fought one another with politics and armies alike, until the foundations of the state seem cracked beyond repair. And as above, so below: the faerie court of London is under siege from enemies who despise everything it stands for, and will do anything to destroy it.

But now a greater threat has come – one that could destroy everything. For four harrowing days, the mortals and fae of the city will fight to save their home from the conflagration that threatens to devour it. While the humans struggle to halt the flames raging across the City, the fae pit themselves against a less tangible foe: the spirit of the Fire itself, powerful enough to annihilate everything in its path.
