The Inmate

A depraved murderer. A missing child. And a father desperate enough to do anything to find his son.

A prisoner in a psychiatric ward confesses to killing two children and leads the Berlin police to their bodies. The police are certain he is also the kidnapper of a six-year-old boy, Max, who disappeared a year ago. But they only have circumstantial evidence, and the murderer is now refusing talk.

In the many months since Max vanished, his father Till’s life has spiraled out of control. His wife has left him, he’s lost his job, and all he can do is obsess about what happened to his son.

So Till concocts a plan that is both audacious and perilous. He will get himself committed to the psychiatric prison, confront the killer, and learn the truth–whatever it takes.
