When China launches a devastating ambush against the USS John F. Kennedy, America is desperate to strike back. There’s just one problem—thanks to a terrifyingly effective malware upload, every jet in the American armed forces has been disabled, leaving the US helpless in the skies.

Well … almost every jet. The malware knocked everything with a Wi-Fi connection out of the air, but the prior generation of fighter and attack jets—including Hornets, Tomcats, and Intruders—were never connected to the network to begin with. Suddenly, combat jets once deemed obsolete are America’s only remaining hope to avert World War III. There’s just one problem: the only pilots with experience in their cockpits haven’t flown in years.

With only one week before total disaster, an unlikely collection of pilots is convened for a top secret mission. Some are long-retired aces, brought back from civilian life to serve their country one last time. Others are young up-and-comers, trained on aircraft far more advanced than those they’ll now have to pilot. But whatever their age or skills, the mission is the same: put aside their differences, master the legendary aircraft that represent the country’s last hope, and take the fight to China in an against-all-odds counterattack that might just save the world … if it doesn’t get them all killed.
