In the land of Anora, no child grows up alone. Each is bound to a guardian spirit, a bond that shapes their gifts, their future, and sometimes their fate. These guardians whisper power into mortal hands, some guiding with light, others tempting with ruin. At the heart of this world lie two paths: the trusted Advocates, who promise strength and honor, and the Accursed, forbidden beings whose power carries the price of death.
The series begins with the story of Mako, a boy forced to decide whether survival is worth embracing a power the world condemns, and Arden, a girl without a guardian who risks everything to rescue a friend and uncovers a darkness hidden beneath Anora’s glittering surface. Their journeys intertwine in a struggle where loyalty is tested, choices shape destinies, and the line between protector and destroyer grows dangerously thin.
Blending high fantasy with moral complexity, Guardians opens a fully realized world where spiritual bonds are as perilous as they are wondrous. It is a tale of friendship, betrayal, and the courage to confront the unknown, inviting readers into an epic that lingers long after the last page is turned.
