A brand-new feature called
Genre Explorer has been added to Risingshadow, helping you discover interesting books by combining different genres and themes. The idea behind Genre Explorer is simple: start by selecting a genre that interests you, such as fantasy, science fiction, or horror. Genre Explorer then shows you which other genres and themes are associated with those books and how many books are available for each combination.
For example, if you select fantasy, you can see how many fantasy books also feature romance, adventure, or even vampires. When you select one of these, the book list instantly narrows down, and you can explore other interesting combinations within the remaining results. You can keep refining your selections as much as you like. You can also remove previous selections, and both the book list and available options will update automatically.
What makes Genre Explorer special is that you don't have to guess which genre combinations actually exist in the database. You can always see the available options and their book counts, based on real book classifications. Along the way, you might even discover literary subgenres and themes you would never have thought to explore.
