The Scarred Shepherdess
A Seven Kingdoms Faery Tale #3
by Kelsie Engen

As princess, Clara never expected to be homeless.

Then something terrible happened at court.

A tragic, magical injury at court forces Princess Clara to flee through the dangerous King’s Forest alone.

At the mercy of a people she once trusted, with no money, skills, or protection, Clara must hide her identity. Luckily, she finds a job as a shepherdess for a family in the neighboring kingdom. But when her faery assistant finds her, she reveals a truth that will either bring Clara back to her family or put both their lives in peril.

*This short story has been previously published in the JL Anthology, A Bit of Magic. It is available here for the first time as a standalone.

I just thought I would mention that StoryOrigin currently has ARC's of The Scarred Shepherdess for request.

The first book in this series of standalone Fairy Tale Retellings The Bear In The Forest is frequently free on Amazon so it might be worth checking it out before requesting this book to get a feel for the authors style.

When I requested my copy I said I would review on Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Goodreads, & Bookbub. It took a few weeks for my request to get approved but if you read and review the first book on a few sites first and then send a message to the author telling them where you reviewed the first book (preferably including links to all your reviews including here) and that you sent a request to StoryOrigin they may push your request through faster. I didn't do this so I am not sure but it may help.

If you demonstrate a willingness to spread your review around a lot authors will be more inclined to give you a review copy.

Happy Reading Everyone!
