Mentor's Lair

Mentor's Lair – Book Two of the Zaddack Tales

A human leader weakened by personal doubt and despair. A Riathan who begins transforming into an oreseeker. An injured zaddack kit suspended in an embryonic sack. And the ice-covered planet on which they must survive.

Forced to flee their home planet, Serall and a group of misfits must rely on their enemy, a Bioguard, to pilot the spaceship as they search for the way to old Earth. The mismatched group is divided by fighting and fear as their lives are haunted by the twin-tailed comet, an omen that prophesies the end of the universe.

The ship becomes lost, and a handful of the warring group find themselves stranded on a frozen planet that emits a strange lustful energy. Forced to live in an icy cavern, Serall struggles to maintain leadership of the hostile group while an ice monster threatens their lives and hope of rescue is gone.
