River of Eternity
River of Eternity is the revised version of the original Riverworld novel which formed the basis for the five novels in Farmer's highly acclaimed Riverworld series. It differs in many respects from the later novels in the series but is filled with all the adventure and sense of wonder which has made Philip José Farmer one of the most widely read and important science fiction writers for more than three decades.

Philip José Farmer
Philip José Farmer (1918–2009) was an American author, principally known for his science fiction and fantasy novels and short stories. He spent much of his life in Peoria, Illinois.
Farmer is best known for his Riverworld series and the earlier World of Tiers series. He is noted for his fascination for and reworking of the lore of legendary pulp heroes, and occasional tongue-in-cheek pseudonyminous works written as if by fictional characters.
