The Seventh Gate

Seven Citadels #4 / 4
by Geraldine Harris
The Seventh Gate (Seven Citadels #4) by Geraldine Harris
Unrated

The long journey undertaken by Kerish-lo-Taan, third son of the Emperor of Galkis, and his three companions is nearly over. Kerish has acquired six of the seven keys he needs to free the imprisoned Saviour of Galkis. The journey has been both spiritual and physical, and it is a spiritual manoeuvre that Kerish uses to escape Khan O-grak and his clever, bitter plan for his prisoners.

Kerish has endured great grief and much pain in his travels, but the sharpest are yet to come. Even the unexpected respite in the Jungle of Jenze, when he meets the amazing and delightful Tebreega, the last sorcerer and holder of the seventh key, demands much of the young prince. Alone and facing death in the Desolation of Zarn as he moves with his keys towards the Saviour's prison, Kerish finds it is the memories of all he has experienced that sustain him – and he is carried through to a climax as blazingly triumphant as it is wholly unexpected.
