Dafydd ab Hugh
Dafydd ab Hugh (born David Friedman, 1960) is an American science fiction author. In the 1980s he served in the United States Navy training to be a Radar Intercept Officer, hoping to be selected to become an astronaut.
Ab Hugh is most noted for writing fiction in media franchises, including several novels for the Star Trek franchise. He also wrote four novels associated with the game Doom, as well as unrelated short fiction. His most noted story, "The Coon Rolled Down and Ruptured His Larinks, A Squeezed Novel by Mr. Skunk", was nominated for the Hugo Award and Nebula Award.
