The Hound Hunters
A drug-addicted mother breast-feeds her infant daughter with tainted milk – corrupted by a new designer drug that opens the door to another dimension. When the mother dies, the child survives, possessed by an alien creature from beyond the stars. The Hounds, creatures who have lived in the mysterious in-between for thousands of years, seek to enter our world and rule mankind, enslaving and feeding on him.
It is summer once again and the Great Gathering is to hold their annual reunion on the Salt River Indian Reservation, just outside Scottsdale, Arizona. This time, the shamans of the twelve tribes will face a threat even greater than a wind demon, more deadly than a winged serpent.
Police Lieutenants Ed Ramirez and Rod Grimsley, along with Tempe Chief of Police, Greg Johnson, find themselves entangled again in an adventure they cannot explain to their boss, required to aid their friends of the Great Gathering in order to save an unknowing world. Their human, and non-human, opposition is ruthless, dedicated and powerful, seeking to complete a task begun generations before on the island of New Guinea.
