Hydrabyss Red

Also known as Hydrabyss.

Chayn Jahil and Villimy Dy continue their adventures when they encounter a Kigon starship circling a dwarf red sun in the halo of ancient suns surrounding the central regions of Andromeda.  Within the depths of a water world boiling away in the cool heat of its primary, Chayn and Villimy encounter refugee humans, a race who have build cities on asteroids dropped into the depths of the planetary ocean, and a self-modified species of water-faring human who have build reefs of life modified from their own DNA.  They encounter a war between a people desperate for METAL and an alien artificial intelligence who was once humanity's only hope for survival, an electronic god holding captive the souls of millions and the key to the survival of a people blinded by the panic of their own approaching extinction.
