Death Before Dawn

Guardian's Diary #2 / 3
by Amelia Hutchins
Death Before Dawn (Guardian's Diary #2) by Amelia Hutchins
Unrated

Hello Diary,

Not sure when I will have a chance to write again, so I’ll have to make this fast.

The search for my brother has been a long one and what I have seen along the way makes me question everything I was taught to believe about people and reinforces what my father said might happen if an apocalyptic event were to occur.

Jaeden and I have not had the easiest of times around each other, and I feel as If something is wrong. Way wrong. He and the other vampires are acting strange, and the wolves are only a little better.

I have a Sentinel following us, and I’m not sure if I can get him to train me, or if he is here to kill me.

I’m traveling further away from everything I know, and there is no one I can trust.

I’ll give more details shortly, gotta go...

~ Emma

*Reader Advisory* This is a paranormal urban fantasy with strong themes of violence and sexual situations that are only suitable for readers over the age of 18. If you do not like dark romance, this is not the book for you.

Amelia Hutchins

Amelia Hutchins

Amelia Hutchins doesn’t just write fantasy—she builds dark, intoxicating worlds where passion and danger intertwine, pulling readers into realms that refuse to let go. Known for her fearless storytelling and unapologetically fierce heroines, she has carved a place in the fantasy romance genre, where the lines between love and power blur in the most tantalizing ways.

Long before her books became must-reads for fans of steamy, high-stakes fantasy, Hutchins was an avid reader who devoured anything that transported her beyond the ordinary. That love for escapism evolved into an obsession with crafting stories where magic isn’t just a tool—it’s a force of nature, wild and untamed, much like the characters who wield it. With each novel, she strips away convention, delivering heroines who fight just as hard as they love, and alpha males who are as dangerous as they are irresistible.

Hutchins’ work is a masterclass in tension—both the kind that ignites worlds and the kind that sets hearts on fire. Her bestselling Fae Chronicles series introduced readers to a seductive, ruthless world of supernatural politics and undeniable chemistry, earning a dedicated following. She has since expanded her universe with interconnected series that deepen the lore, the stakes, and the heat, proving that fantasy can be as dark as it is alluring. Her Legacy of the Nine Realms series takes this even further, weaving a sweeping saga of war, betrayal, and destiny across a richly imagined mythos. With fierce warriors, ancient prophecies, and a battle for ultimate power, the series has captivated readers looking for an epic blend of romance and high fantasy.

When she isn’t lost in the labyrinth of her own imagination, Hutchins enjoys the chaos of real life with her family, often finding inspiration in the unpredictable nature of everyday moments. She believes the best stories are the ones that make you feel—whether it’s exhilaration, heartbreak, or the kind of longing that lingers long after the last page.

For those who crave stories where desire and danger are inseparable, Amelia Hutchins delivers, every single time.
