A dragon without a hoard

Dragon shifter Kezari gave up everything to stop the poison she’d sensed on Earth. Though welcomed by the Moranaian elves, she struggles to find her place in a land with different customs and expectations. Her situation only gets worse after she’s assigned to deliver healing potions with the annoying mind healer Tynan. How is she supposed to work with a man when she can’t decide whether to push him away or kiss him?

A mind healer on the brink

After a mishap in his youth, Tynan trained hard to hone his gifts of mind healing and empathy, but working at Braelyn is his greatest challenge. Between traumas and mystery plagues, his temporary assignment stretches from days to weeks. But his biggest problem? Kezari, the dragon shifter he’s certain is his soulbonded. Her nearness strains his control over his empathy—and he knows far too well that losing his grip on his gift means catastrophe.

A struggle between worlds

Kezari and Tynan must learn to work together quickly. Trouble is stirring with the dragons, and when a meeting with the ancient dragon Caeregas reveals the extent of the problem, Kezari feels honor bound to solve it. Too bad working with the mind healer might be her only chance at victory.

Bethany Adams

Bethany Adams

Bethany Adams has always been a storyteller at heart, weaving magic into the mundane and crafting worlds where the impossible becomes possible. Her journey into the world of writing began long before she ever put pen to paper. Growing up, she was enchanted by tales of elves, dragons, and ancient prophecies, sparking a passion for fantasy that would later shape her career. It was in the aisles of her school library, surrounded by books that invited her into other realms, where her imagination truly took flight.

With a degree in English from Middle Tennessee State University, Bethany refined her craft and began building the foundation for her own stories. Today, she is best known for her Return of the Elves series, a captivating blend of fantasy and romance that immerses readers in a world where ancient magic is alive, and the struggles of love, loyalty, and destiny intertwine. Her stories are rich in world-building, with characters who feel as real and complex as the worlds they inhabit. Readers are drawn to the intricate relationships and the slow burn of romance that naturally unfolds amidst the magic and adventure.

What makes Bethany’s work stand out in the fantasy genre is her ability to blend the wonder of fantastical creatures and landscapes with the deep emotional journeys of her characters. Her writing isn’t just about epic quests or magical battles; it’s about the internal battles her characters face—their personal growth, their vulnerabilities, and their desires for belonging in worlds that often challenge their very identities.

When she’s not immersed in writing, Bethany enjoys reading, photography, and indulging in her love for video games, all of which influence the worlds and characters she creates. She lives in the United States with her husband and their two children, who continue to inspire her with their boundless curiosity and creativity. Through her writing, Bethany invites readers into magical worlds where love is the most powerful force—and nothing is ever truly as it seems.

Her work resonates with readers who crave both a deep connection to the characters and an escape into worlds filled with magic, mystery, and the unexpected. For Bethany, writing is not just a profession but a lifelong passion that continues to evolve, much like the worlds she so expertly brings to life.

Return of the Elves

The Return of the Elves series invites readers into a world where magic pulses beneath the surface of reality, and the past is never truly gone. In this captivating saga, the lines between human and elf blur as ancient secrets rise to the surface and forces of destiny shape the lives of those brave enough to face them.

At the heart of the series is Arlyn, a young woman who discovers that her true heritage lies within the mystical realm of Moranaia, where elves and other magical beings dwell. Her journey to this otherworldly land is more than just a passage through realms—it's a chance for Arlyn to uncover her own identity and unlock powers she never knew she possessed. But with newfound abilities come dangerous responsibilities, and Arlyn soon finds herself entangled in a centuries-old struggle for power, as alliances shift and old enemies return.

The series doesn’t just revolve around Arlyn, however; it weaves a rich tapestry of interconnected characters, each with their own motivations, strengths, and flaws. From the stoic warrior Kai to the prophetic prince Ralan, these individuals are more than mere players in the narrative—they are the living embodiment of the world’s deep-rooted conflicts. Through them, Bethany Adams explores themes of loyalty, identity, and the delicate balance between light and dark.

What sets Return of the Elves apart is its intricate world-building and its ability to blend high fantasy with relatable human emotions. The sweeping landscapes of Moranaia, with its ancient forests and ethereal cities, are as much a character in the story as the elves and humans who inhabit them. Adams' prose immerses readers in this world, where every setting feels vivid, and every encounter pulses with the weight of the past.

At its core, Return of the Elves is about more than just magic and adventure—it's about the choices we make in the face of uncertainty, and the ways in which we define our place in a world that is constantly changing. For readers who long for a fantasy series that combines romance, intrigue, and deep emotional resonance, Return of the Elves offers a journey that will stay with them long after the final page is turned.
