King of Patriam: Outlaws

The combat trials. He's going.
Cassian's only qualm is that he has to do the wrong thing to do the right thing.
The city's fate rests on his shoulders, but that's not what plagues his thoughts and hurries his heart.
She'll never forgive him. He knows it, but he still has hope that he can claim the heart of the woman he left behind.
If he makes it out alive...

He left her.
He thinks he's doing the right thing, but the numbers that Salem has trusted all her life are beginning to lose her faith. She wants him to live, she'll do anything to make sure that he does. But can she ever come to terms with what he did to save the city, what he did to her?
She gets her chance to keep him alive for long enough to figure that out, but what will happen when his safety is no longer in jeopardy? What will happen when it's hers?
