Midlife Dragon Unexpected

Inheriting the family ranch was expected. Finding a demigod and a dark fae there? Less so.

I spent my life running from the inevitable: coming home to Mystic Ridge Ranch, just outside of Cougar Creek. But there’s no avoiding it. I’m Josephine Montfort, the sole heir to the family fortune and the new head of the family. A family that has an age-old feud with the Cougar Creek Coven that runs the region.

And I might be content to let that feud live on for a few generations longer, if not for the demigod and the dark fae that have claimed squatters rights on my ranch. The law is on their side, my family is useless, and Styx and Morel have harnessed the very magic of Mystic Ridge to keep me out. That leaves me only one choice, to seek the aid of the coven that my family hates.

As I take on the mantle I have prepared for my whole life, I discover what my father knew all along; the mountain of gold we house under Mystic Ridge comes at a price. The curse will not only rot my bones, but it will drive me to madness before I die.
