A Saga of Sovereigns and Secrets

Darkness gathers, trouble brews. Predator or protector, one must choose.

Fate has led Macella of Shively and Aithan of Auburndale to the seat of Kōsaten’s power. As newly appointed Protector of the Crown, Aithan is bound to the kingdom’s rulers, particularly its mercurial sovereign, King Khari. Thus, confined to life in the capital, they must learn to navigate complicated court politics and the Crown’s dangerous games. Most of all, they must determine how to fulfill prophecy and save the kingdom.

As they discover truths both beautiful and horrifying, sinister forces continue to gather just beyond their realm. Rifts between the realms are appearing with greater frequency, unleashing monsters only the Aegises can destroy. And, if the prophecy is to be believed, only Macella and Aithan ultimately stand between Kōsaten and the forces of hell.

With threats on all sides, Macella and Aithan have to rely on each other and their love to survive. Little do they know, King Khari has plans for them both—sinister, secret plans.

But they have their own secrets to protect. Secrets about who they are and what they must do. Secrets that the Crown would kill for.
