A Dance of Ruby Ashes

It came again. The beast, the monster that lurks in the shadows, never revealing its identity. Mysterious and lethal, it leaves a trail of burned bodies every time I find myself in danger.

Does it come to save me, or only to watch me grow weaker, more desperate every day?

The city is cruel and cold, full of danger, and vice.

This winter may be my last, unless I accept the darkness that is already rooted deep into my soul, and become someone strong, resilient, and possibly evil.
