Horned to be WildA Cozy Monster Romance
Big horns. Bigger… heart?
When city artist Lila inherits her great-aunt’s cottage she expects rustic charm—not a fixer-upper with a failing roof and a grumpy, reclusive minotaur living next door. Torin is big, brooding, and annoyingly attractive. He might have the social skills of a tree stump, but every time he stomps to her rescue she’s more intrigued.
Torin likes his life quiet, his woods undisturbed, and his horns—and his heart—well out of sight. Unfortunately his deliciously curvy new neighbor has a way of bypassing all his carefully crafted rules. She’s sweet, sassy, and impossible to ignore.
But Torin has spent years hiding, and Lila’s presence threatens to upend the safe, quiet life he’s built. As the town's art fair approaches, Torin must decide if he’s ready to show more than his carvings to the world!
* * * *
Though they once lived in secret, “monsters” have inhabited the earth as long as humans. As technology advanced by leaps and bounds, the ability to remain hidden dwindled. Earth’s nonhuman creatures faced a choice: allow themselves to be discovered, or step forward and introduce themselves. Either option could have ended badly for monsters and humans alike—and in some places, it did.
But not in Harmony Glen.
After The Great Revelation, Harmony Glen welcomed monsters with open arms. This small, lakeside town in Upstate New York is now home to humans and nonhumans! Integration has been so successful in Harmony Glen, the town even changed its motto to “Come for the harmony, stay for the happily ever after.”
Welcome to Harmony Glen. We know you’re going to love it here.
Each book in the Harmony Glen multi-author series is a standalone cozy romance with a happily ever after! The books can be enjoyed in any order.
Honey Phillips
Honey Phillips is a USA Today bestselling author who’s mastered the art of combining steamy romance with thrilling science fiction. Her books are a thrilling ride through galaxies filled with alien warriors, fierce Earth women, and love that defies the stars. With her stories, readers are swept into universes where danger lurks, but passion always prevails, making her books a must-read for fans of intense romance with a sci-fi twist.
Honey’s passion for storytelling began early. At just five years old, she penned and illustrated her first book—a creation that, while brimming with imagination, lacked a certain polish in the art department. Thankfully, her writing skills have since evolved into a fine-tuned craft, while her drawing remains… well, let's just say, she prefers to leave that to others. Writing is her true calling, and she has spent years honing her craft, blending the excitement of sci-fi with the allure of romance in a way that captivates her readers.
Harmony Glen
Harmony Glen is a lakeside town where humans and monsters quietly rebuilt trust after the world changed. After The Great Revelation, creatures once forced to hide now walk open roads, share dinner tables, and fall in love in broad daylight. But peace rarely arrives without complications.
In this cozy fantasy romance series you follow characters who are more than their species. A witch, a Gorgon, a single mom, a grumpy monster, each carries scars: emotional, physical, sometimes magical. The streets of Harmony Glen might feel warm in daylight, the air still at ease, but at night fears stir, magic pulses, and hearts ache for acceptance.
Harmony Glen consists of 12 total books and series is set to expand with the upcoming release of twelve more books. The current recommended reading order for the series is provided below.
Reviews and Comments
This was such a fun story and I loved getting to know both Lila & Torin in this story as well as Torin's adorable and mischievous goat Mabel. I enjoyed seeing how both Lila & Torin grew as characters as the story developed as well as how Lila helped Torin to grow more confident in himself. This story also has a subtle bit of fall fun thrown in with reference to a Harvest Festival. It was also fun to come across a reference to another book from this series (Hiss and Tell) that I have already read and enjoyed. I look forward to reading more books set in Harmony Glen and getting to know more about the different residents including Marigold in Satyrday Night Fever when it comes out.
