Amelie has always been a survivor, from losing her parents as a child in Paris to making it on her own in London. As she builds a life for herself, she is swept up into a glamorous lifestyle where she married the handsome billionaire Ned Hawthorne.
But then, Amelie wakes up in a pitch-black room, not knowing where she is. Why has she been taken? Who are her mysterious captors? And why does she soon feel safer here, imprisoned, than she had begun to feel with her husband Ned?

I lived in France for most of my adult life and before becoming an author, I worked in Finance as a trader before retraining as an English teacher. My husband and I ran a language school together while bringing up our five daughters. It was only after I turned 50 that I started writing.
As a writer of psychological thrillers and domestic suspense, I’m inspired by things that happen in my day-to-day, by people I’ve known and people I meet. My imagination then goes into overdrive and, before I know it, a story comes to life on the page.
