A Model For Murder

The critically acclaimed, internationally bestselling Declan Walsh series continues...

"Every murder needs a stage..."

To mark fifty years of the London Museum, the City of London has been rebuilt in perfect miniature – half a century of history, street by painstaking street. For one month only it stands in the heart of the Square Mile before it's crated up and shipped abroad for good.

On the night of the unveiling however, a guest notices a new figure, lying face-down in one of the tiny courtyards.

And at the exact same moment, across the City, in that exact spot, DCI Declan Walsh stands over a real body.

No one saw it placed. No camera was pointing the right way. And it won't be the last.

As the Temple Inn team are drawn into the world of the City's ancient livery companies, they realise the model is keeping pace with a killer – and that the truth is buried somewhere in fifty years the City would rather forget, while DI Anjli Kapoor gets a visit from a face from her past: a billionaire in trouble, swearing he's innocent, and asking her to prove it.

In a City rebuilt to be admired, someone has hidden a series of murders in plain sight. And the clock is already running.
