When Annie Taylor witnesses a local GP being gunned down and killed outside his surgery in Dolgellau, she calls her best friend, retired detective Frank Marshal, to help her investigate.
At first, it seems that the murder might be related to a vengeful family member of a patient who had died. However, when there are two more shootings, Frank and Annie struggle to find any link between the victims. Their investigation uncovers the dark past of the victims when they were teenagers that has remained buried for twenty years.
