Crystal lived an uneventful life, spending her days caring for her ill father and trouble-seeking brother. When she learns of her brother being imprisoned aboard a visiting ship, Crystal seeks to free her brother from his hold, only to find that the only way to do so is to exchange her freedom for his.

Draven catches the thief's sister in her attempt to free her brother from his ship's prison. In exchange for her brother's life, she sacrifices her life's freedom for her brother. Draven agrees and sails her out to live in his cursed castle beyond the sea.

Crystal discovers the prince isn't the only one in her new home that is cursed. With her care for others, she seeks to free them all, but at what cost? What if the price is higher than her freedom? Will Crystal be willing to face such a fate?
