A Sleeping Sacrifice

If it were for someone else's happiness, would you sacrifice yourself to a forever sleep?

Twenty years ago, a sea witch crashed the celebration of NixyVail's newborn princess. The sea witch had come with the plan to curse the child only; instead, Laleh, the daughter of a cobbler, was cursed to fall into a deathly sleep if she were to be kissed by a man who didn't love her.

For her whole life, Laleh had to fight off the men around her home who had tried to activate her curse. Leaving her to do the only thing she could to keep herself alive, she buys a ticket to board a ship set to sail to another place, perhaps her only chance at living a whole life. At least that was supposed to be, until she found herself aboard the wrong ship.

At a ball his family held, Prince Jasper found himself drawn to a stunning dancer who was with the group his family had hired for the guests' entertainment. Learning of where the woman of his dreams had gone, Jasper sets out with his crew with plans to find her and request her hand in marriage.

When Laleh discovers she has boarded the wrong ship, she is forced to sail with him, finding his charming smile and flirtatious personality to be a difficult distraction to avoid falling for, risking the chance of her curse being set to slowly put her into a forever sleep.

Can Laleh keep her curse from activating? Will Jasper find his dream woman before his time runs out? Or will they both find the mind's desires aren't as strong as their hearts?
