The Monk
Detective Sergeant George Cross is a brilliant investigator in the Somerset and Avon police force, based in the Major Crimes Unit in Bristol, England. The Monk is the fifth in this delightful series by Tim Sullivan. Each book is titled for the murder victim at the center of the chase, so in this one we follow Cross and his team as they inquire into the mysterious past and downfall of Brother Dominic of St. Eustace.

Tim Sullivan is an acclaimed screenwriter. He originally read English and Law at university - the latter forced on him by his Dad - but instead he wriggled free of those parental ambitions and pursued his own, to make films.
