New feature: Customize Risingshadow’s content to match your taste!

I'm developing a new feature for the site that lets you choose which book genres you're not interested in. When you select genres you don't like, we'll automatically hide books related to those genres from the site's listings. For example, if romance isn't your thing, all romance-related books will be hidden, allowing you to focus only on the books that genuinely interest you.   To use this feature, you’ll need to be logged in, as it allows you to customize how the Risingshadow site works and what kind of information is displayed in a whole new way. For visitors who aren’t logged in, we generally show everything by default.

The new feature is now in beta testing for listings of new and upcoming books, as well as in Advanced Search results. Please use it cautiously, as there may still be some bugs or areas that need improvement and refinement. With this feature, users should be able to successfully hide genres/tags they’re not interested in from these book listings.   Once we’ve confirmed the feature’s stability in these listings, we plan to expand it to cover the entire book database across the site. This means that logged-in users will see only the new releases that genuinely interest them.   Note: This feature requires users to be logged in. Visitors who aren’t logged in will see all books in the database across all book listings.

We’ve expanded the genre-hiding feature!   Now, the Latest Top Books and Upcoming Books lists on the homepage will automatically hide genres you’ve chosen to ignore. Additionally, in review lists, books from your ignored genres will no longer appear. However, when browsing individual book details, all reviews will still be displayed. This makes it easier than ever to focus on the books that truly interest you.   Not using this feature yet? Log in to customize your experience and take control of your book recommendations!
