New Feature: Bookshelf visit tracking and Top 100 list

A small addition to bookshelves. You can now see how many visits your bookshelf has received over the past 30 days, along with a comparison to other popular bookshelves. The comparison also works as a link, letting you view the [url=/top-bookshelves]Top 100[/url] list of most visited bookshelves.   The statistics only started accumulating yesterday, so many bookshelves may not yet show any data. Statistics are only shown for users who have added books to their bookshelf. Visits to your own bookshelf do not count, and visits to other users’ bookshelves are counted at a maximum of one per day. The counter also includes unique visits from non-logged-in users browsing your bookshelf.

Additionally, the new Top 100 list and statistics are available only for bookshelves that have not been hidden from other users. If you don’t see statistics on your own shelf, it’s worth checking your settings to see whether you have restricted its visibility to private.   For now, the statistics and Top 100 list also work for bookshelves that are visible only to logged-in users. However, this may change in the future, and these features might be limited to fully public bookshelves.   Information about restricted visibility has also been made more clearly visible on users’ bookshelves.
