I finished all six books in just over a week. At first I did not care for the first book of Arans story, and when I discovered the next books were featuring aren primarily, I almost ended my reading journey. I did not give up though, and all together I enjoyed the series thus far.
I just did not enjoy the repetitive side of immaturity for both Sadie and Aren. I admired their strengths, especially Sadie’s, and her growth was obvious and well paced, but Arens felt overwhelmingly repetitive and up until book six, it took 3/4 of the 730 pages before Arens character really changed at all.
I pray that book 7 will hone in on Aren and Corvus as a primary mate situation, and less “I’m a badass sexy bitch and I don’t have to listen to anyone.” I absolutely loved Jinx, especially by the end of the book. I won’t spoil anything so I can’t further exlplain what I loved about it, but if the wonderful Author Jasmine ever wants to ask me, I’ll be happy to comply! I loved the return of characters and the obstacles of the academy, and the revelation of long lost families etc.
I can’t wait for book seven and hopefully Dick and the other get the karma that’s been building for six books now.
