Remembering the Future

Vampires and Chocolate #4 / 8
by Karinn Martel
Remembering the Future (Vampires and Chocolate #4) by Karinn Martel
Unrated

With the rivals and the impending wars on their minds, Lilith tells Angil the hardest news of his life, and he tries to deal with it the best way he can, without Charlie finding out. It gets easier when she loses her memories through a mishap with magic, and along with Ron, he has to remember the past, so she can remember her future. The Tribe has their hands full when the newest additions to the Realm arrive, causing chaos at every turn, especially when things go from bad to worse.

Miss Martel has continued to create a vast world for our imaginations to go to. Rich in details, but without overdoing it, we can imagine the world through her eyes and our own. Many women can see themselves as Charlie, who is strong and weak, yet secure and insecure all at the same time. She is just like most of us who question our very lives. To live in her world, would be an adventure for sure.

Remembering the Future is the fourth installment of the Vampires and Chocolate series.

Karinn Martel

Karinn Martel

Miss Martel was born in Manitoba, Canada, to a mixed heritage of Ojibway and French parents. Her parents moved the family to Ontario when she was eleven and she remains there to this day. In the small town of Cambridge, Ontario, she decided to sit down and write a book when the ideas in her head would not leave her alone. Forty-four hours later, she had the first draft of the first book of her Vampires and Chocolate series. In less than three years, she has added to the series with another six full length novels, with still more to come.

The genre of vampires has never been told like this before. Miss Martel has shown us what a real vampire is. They are not made of marble nor do they glow or sparkle. They are just like the rest of us, which makes them that much more interesting and deadly. They could be in your neighbourhood and you would never know.

Her take on the world and where it will go leaves us to question our own mortality, and that of the planet. She touches on everyday life questions and how the average person would deal with it, relating to most who have read the series so far. Hate it or love it, the reader will find something about themselves in the books. They can relate to Charlie, the lead character, because unlike most other vampire themed books, she is an average woman and average women can see themselves in her place.

Her series is world-wide in popularity, especially in the UK, and she has sold thousands of her books so far. There are NO paperback versions available of book 1 anymore; they are ONLY on Amazon at the moment. Any comments made about any of her books regarding spelling errors have been fixed for each book. She takes everything reviewers say and tries to fix annoying things she may have overlooked. She wants to make sure that all of her fans have a great read!

She started writing in 2010 from a need by women to have a more realistic vampire series. She has released 7 books so far with another 6 to be released in the future because of a demand for her series to continue.

Miss Martel has started venturing into the YA market and is beginning to release books for her young fans too. "I wanted to get some books out in the market that combine being a preteen and growing up in a world surrounded by ghosts and other things that go bump in the night. I love putting the super natural spin on everyday lives to see how they react."
