Ascension of the Heavenly Banished
Seeing the destruction that has fallen upon the planet causes Charlie to go into overdrive. Making her one of the best again is not good enough; she has to be the best if the wars are to be in their favour. With Angil and the knights doing everything they can to keep her safe in the castle, it’s up to Charlie and her riders to outwit them so that she can learn. Amid all of this, Charlie has to cope with the grief and pain that comes with loss more than ever before. When the final battle happens, will she become the legend she was meant to be?
If this world was a real one, then count me in as wanting to be front and centre. Miss Martel continually uses a part of the imagination that no one else has done before. Rarely has a book been written that has so much depth to the main characters they have created, and the descriptive narration brings it all to life so effortlessly. Her take on heaven and hell is unique and something to really think about, as is her constant portrayal of vampires.
Ascension of the Heavenly Banished is the fifth installment of the Vampires and Chocolate series.
